Amy Schaaf, Laurie Pace and Julianne Guzik with the Morrison Family YMCA organized the first ever “Zumbathon” to take place in Ballantyne Corporate Park. For two hours, instructors Koh Herlong, Patricia Caro, Lori Connolly and Laura Trumbull alternately led the group in a wonderfully fun and exhilarating workout.
Zumba, according to the YMCA’s website, “combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be fun and easy to do. Great for the body and the mind. It is a ‘feel-happy’ workout.” The Morrison YMCA is hoping to plan more events like this in the Corporate Park in the coming months. |
